Since the first week of knowing my host “mom” Elizabeth Sanchez Barrantes, I have thought, “I would follow this strong, independent woman almost anywhere!” Today I did! We just finished an 11 km hike up some mountains that gave even young Kelsey Norman a kick in the glutes! That makes 14.5 km for my day and I’m just hoping to be able to stand tomorrow!
I am not the least surprised by your life journey, but I must admit I am envious. Sounds life you are continuing to live your life to the fullest. I’ ll conseed that a fall last January which broke my “weak” ankle [on my paralysed side] has slowed me down cosiderably. I do still teach ESL at my church and container garden each summer, but other than that, life for me has really slowed almost to a halt. SoI i really admire what you are doing and will be praying for youas you become profecent in Spanish and deal with the heat. Love you dear friend Believe it or not, I still have the “Lucy” dress. Do not wear it however. Probably should give it to a clothing closet. Pat Ritchie Liles
Ahh the Lucy dress! Now that brings back memories! Thanks for catching up with my journeys, Pat. I’m sure many folks think I’ve lost my mind and some days, I might be close to agreeing but in reality, it’s a perfect place for me to be!
